Vehicle registration plates of Nunavut
The Canadian territory of Nunavut, established in 1999, splitting from the Northwest Territories, since that time has issued licence plates to motor vehicles registered there. These polar bear-shaped plates are identical to those previously issued when it was part of the Northwest Territories, save for the name of the jurisdiction on the plate and the "N" suffix that appears on all plates.
On 3 August 2011, Nunavut announced that due to changes to the Northwest Territories license plates, they would be re-designing and changing their plates to a brand new style. [1]
